Changing the Way Foster Care begins
Isaiah 117 House exists to reduce trauma for children entering the foster care system, lighten the load for child welfare services, and ease the transition for foster parents. They provide a comforting home where children that have been removed from their families can come to wait for foster placement.
Today, children are taken to Children’s Services offices where they wait anywhere from a couple of hours up to days for foster placement. Isaiah 117 is equipped with volunteers who are available to get children a meal, a bath, new clothes, a snuggly blanket and some peace during these difficult transition days.

Attend Meetings
Isaiah 117 House has monthly meetings on the second Sunday of the month from 4:30-5:30pm. Locations vary, so please check ahead of time to see where we are meeting. This fast paced meeting is used to touch base on progress of our Isaiah House, plan events and outreach events, and connect with other members in our community committed to making this dream a reality.

Volunteer your Time
Montgomery County Isaiah 117 House is always grateful for volunteers to walk along side and help spread the mission of our house and help with other volunteer tasks as needed. This can range from assembly of recognition treats for our CPS workers and case managers, manning a booth at a festival or fair to educate our community on the need for our foster kids, selling merchandise at events and many other opportunities.
